It’s more than just skin care

At the peak of mask-wearing mandates, April found herself grappling with skin irritation and acne caused by prolonged use. Despite her diligent search, she couldn't find a solution that addressed all her skincare needs. It was this struggle that birthed the idea of creating a skincare product specifically tailored for healthcare workers. With seven years of experience as a mental health nurse, April deeply understands the selfless nature of healthcare professionals who often prioritize their patients' well-being over their own. But what about their own health? Their own skin? Their own mental well-being? Recognizing this gap, April founded Self Care Skin Care with a mission to empower healthcare workers to prioritize self-care. Understanding the daily exposure to pathogens, chemicals, and various types of light, including blue, UV, and infrared, April set out to develop products that not only protect but nourish and rejuvenate the skin, recognizing it as the body's largest organ. Self Care Skin Care is more than just skincare; it's a shift in healthcare culture in supporting those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
